Samarth Mahavidyalaya was established in 1964. Today the college is advancing successfully towards the Platinum Jubilee year. The college has Arts, Commerce and Science faculties. Approximately 1500 students are taking education today in our college. The college is accredited twice by NAAC; acquired Grade 'B' with 2.57 CGPA and advancing to acquire Grade 'A' in the Third Cycle of NAAC. The college is committed to the overall development of the students having focus on its vision 'Shilam Param Bhushanam' and following the mission statement 'Param Vaibhavam Netumetat Swarashtram.'

Today the college is producing well-cultured and well-character students. The college organizes various programs as per the need of the students and the society. There is NCC, NSS and Sport Department in the college. The students represent the college on State, National and International level.
