About Department
Department of Home Economics has been running since 1997 at Samarth College, Lakhani. In this department, various subjects like Painting, Weaving, Embroidery, and Food Management are imparted from the point of view of overall development of the students.
Home Economics is the only option for girls to study in Samarth College. 2023 was celebrated as the Year of Big Grain with various competitions. Activities like seminars, webinars, workshops, guest lectures, educational tours, and cooking competitions are conducted under this department.
Past HOD: Dr. Anita R. Dani (2005 to 2022). Today, Dr. Smita R. Gajbhiye is serving as the department lead along with her team.
