About Department
The Department of Geography was established in 2006 on a permanent non-grant basis. The department serves a predominantly rural student population, providing them with critical practical knowledge about geographical systems and environmental management.
Key Milestones:
• 2006: Department founded on a permanent non-grant basis.
• 2007: Formalization of departmental leadership.
• 2010: Commencement of the Post-Graduate (M.A.) course in Geography.
Educational Resources:
The department boasts a well-furnished Laboratory equipped with charts, posters, models, and projectors. Study tours and field surveys are organized annually to ensure students gain practical, hands-on experience of the subject. The institution's library also provides a wide range of textbooks and reference materials specifically for Geography students.

Future Roadmap
Our future roadmap includes starting short-term courses in Photo Mapping, Drone Piloting, Soil Surveying, and Cartography. We also aim to offer diplomas in Travel & Tourism, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Remote Sensing, along with the establishment of a dedicated climate-monitoring center.
